Mission

NJS Youth Ensemble is to cultivate musical excellence and leadership in talented young musicians through exceptional ensemble training and performance opportunities, and to make artistic contributions to our society.

About Us

NJS Youth Ensemble is a conductorless string chamber group dedicated to enriching lives through artistic excellence and leadership, and connecting with the diverse communities it serves. NJS Youth Ensemble invites Dr. Yu Jeong Lee as its artistic director who is a founding member of International Sejong Soloists, a world renowned ensemble. She will be joined by distinguished professional musicians in the field to coach the young talents in collaboration. The Ensemble will train to perform repertoire superior to that of any other youth group in the region, in its technique and musicality.

Beyond its core values of musical exceptionality and dedication to social contributions, NJS Youth Ensemble adapts a democratic process in its music making, where each member is encouraged to take part in their musical endeavors by sharing ideas, collaborating and exercising leadership within the group. Through the process, we believe, the young minds will have invaluable opportunities to learn, grow and succeed both professionally and personally.
